WHY Dare to Lead™

The Dare to Lead™ program tackles the biggest challenge facing all leaders: the courage to do the things it takes to be a great leader. It focuses on the Four Skill Sets of Courage:

  1. Rumbling with Vulnerability

  2. Living Into Our Values

  3. BRAVING Trust

  4. Learning to Rise

We have to do better as leaders and choose courage over comfort, heart over hurt, belonging over isolation, power with vs. power over and abundance over scarcity. I work with leadership teams, organization teams and individuals to take them from Armored Leadership to Daring Leadership.

Who we are is how we lead. It’s that simple.

about the program

Above all else, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program. It is based on the work of bestselling author and researcher Dr. Brené Brown. When Brené began her leadership specific research she did interviews with 150 leaders across industries, from special forces leaders to leaders at Pixar and Disney and asked them about the future of leadership. One consistent answer emerged from those interviews and it was, “We need braver leaders. We need more courageous cultures.” That being said, the most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.
